Printed kiwifruit designs by Jarryd's GG

 Carrie's lesson 9-10 yr olds

We started the day with observational drawings of kiwifruit, making sure to include as much detail as possible. These were then exaggerated, simplified and changed to make a design suitable for printing.

The next step was to prepare a background using watercolours. The children had to think about what palette would be effective with their design and chose how they divided the paper to fit their print block.

Next step was to draw their design onto a polystyrene print block and print this over their painting (we use watercolours as they dry fast) This will be the artwork to display at the bi-annual Art Auction
and for the fundraising calendars.
