Bugs in the garden by Rachael L GG
Carrie's lesson 7-8yr olds
This was a repeat of Tuesday's lesson, but with half the time available. Despite this the class did an amazing job completing their art (a few worked through lunchtime)
Continuing the theme of bugs, they designed their own bug or butterfly and were given the choice to use paint, oil pastel or coloured pencil after drawing bold outlines in vivid. I showed a folding technique to create a pop out feature that their bug would be attached to.
The scraffito was prepared early in the day so it had plenty of drying time, ready to scratch their garden designs in the afternoon.
