Carrie's lesson 7-8yr olds
I wanted to do some colour theory with M12 today which also used a printmaking process, so after we discussed primary and secondary colours, the class went about drawing and painting their colour wheels. I had pre-cut polystyrene triangles for the print element and got them thinking about a design that would continue around the wheel when repeated. They used a series of lines to divide their triangle, then used different patterns in each section.
|The strong bold colours worked well with the graphic black print and was noticed by the children|
when we had a feedback session on their artwork.
|We had a print station for inking their print blocks.|
They brought this back to their table to print.
