Clay Masks V6

Carrie's Lesson

This was a follow on from last weeks Native American Masks where they had chance to complete their designs and create a 3D version in clay. Some of the class were so excited to be using clay, it was a challenge to get them focussed on the task.

After working with the clay for some time, most achieved a finished outcome
which had connections with their design, and used joining techniques

After lunch I read the book 'Virginia Wolf' which talks about
travelling to a 'Perfect Place'. For their calendar art, I asked them
to draw their perfect place

We started the day with observational drawings of shells and keys
