Onomatopoeia Pop Art M13

Carrie's lesson

We looked at the work of Roy Lichtenstein (Pop Artist) and the class discussed ideas about Pop Art.
What looked like a comic strip was actually a 4 metre long painting by Lichtenstein. The children brainstormed words that
you would associate with a sound and used collage layering to realise their ideas.

We began the day with observational drawings of plastic animals. I was really impressed with their patience and attention to detail with this task in such a short timeframe. Ka Pai M13!
