Sock Puppets V5

 gretchen's lesson
 9 and 10 year olds

I held another sock puppet making day today with Sally from Mary Potter Hospice. The first day has been posted here. sock-puppets-v1.

Today the emphasis was more about completing well made puppets. This is a challenge as it is a lot of fun to keep adding embellishments and making lots of puppets. The children did an excellent job as you can see. There were a few burnt fingers due to using the hot glue guns. We had cold water at hand.

Sally was keen to capture some of the children's language when they were using the puppets. She asked the children to talk about what they would do and how they would feel if they were having a tough time. Initially we heard about illness and injuries in families. Then the feelings and responses came forth.

Coping with hot glue gun burns.
