5 year olds.
Another eggy day. The children are a few months older than the previous class I took this lesson with. easter-eggs-k7. It made a world of difference. Also using vivids to mark the lines I think. They grasped the pattern concept easily and made fabulous patterns on their Easter eggs. I didn't have the heart to ask them to cut them into quarters as I did in the previous class. We wrapped a red ribbon around the eggs and the children took them home.
The second part of the day was about making a collage egg, using magazines and glue. They drew their own egg shape very skilfully. They put a few lines across, which divided the egg into sections. Each section was to have a different colour stuck to it.
