Colour Wheel Creations. R7

Gretchen's lesson
7 year olds

The children mixed their own colours using the primary colours. The challenge was to put the colours in the right places on the wheel they had created. The colour they made using red and blue for example, had to go between those two colours.

Making colour wheels
The second colour wheel was made from coloured paper.

The children made a stencil of a little person. They made it on a triangle which was the same shape as a wedge of the colour wheel. They were encouraged to make the hands reach the sides, so that the little figures would appear to hold hands around in a circle.

Then the trick was to put them in the right order. They had their original colour wheel as reference.
