Pou Whenua Class Totem V1

Carries lesson
The class were given the task of creating a design that would be part of a class
totem/ Pou Whenua by reflecting their name, adding details, exaggerating shapes
and linking elements. This was transfered to A3 paper and they began the task of
painting using watercolours (this worked better than acrylics as the original design
was still evident) and tried to incorporate a pair of complementary colours.

Fine brushes were important for the detailed
designs by some students

Some students went with a complementary colour scheme
for their whole design, which was really effective.

V1 worked really hard to achieve their goals today
which is evident when you see the totems in class.
