Lesson prep.

We went to an outdoor concert (UB40) a few weeks ago and there was quite a queue to get into the paddock to park. But while we were snailing it along the country road towards Elsthorpe,  there were several huge gum trees that had shed their bark onto the roadside. Some strips would have been easily 3 metres long.
So I went back yesterday in my Yeti (big boot space) and gathered some up. Today I broke them into manageable chunks and painted them on the smooth side.
These will be an alternative drawing or painting surface for an aboriginal art based lesson this term. I think charcoal or black ink would be effective. Or perhaps earth coloured chalks.
