Print Making Extravaganza V6

9 and 10 year olds.

The children completed their second print making day today. They had previously prepared three printing blocks. A PVA block, a collograph and a carved block. They had also begun the etched frame.

Today they finished the preparation of the different blocks and proceeded to roll on the printing ink and put them through the press.

Our terrific press churned out approximately 90 prints today.

Several children worked steadily for the two days and still struggled to complete the project. It was a big ask. I think a third day for some would have been useful.

In addition to making prints today, the children had an observational drawing to make.
In April this year, they made a drawing which I squirrelled away. I brought them out today and asked them to critique their work and draw the same subject with their critique in mind.
