It was the first day in the art room for most of these little guys. There are quite a few of them, 23. That's a lot when routines are still being established and as new children arrive, the pecking order shifts.
As you can see from their reindeer pictures, the children's ability is quite varied. I tried to get them to cut around their reindeer and sleigh, as close as they could. It's a tall order for little hands. Some achieved a lot.
They began by drawing a large reindeer with black crayon, using a photograph to help with details.
They drew 9 reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh, using black pen and colouring with coloured pencils.
Some of the children tried writing out the names of the reindeer.
