9 and 10 year olds.
The children began their paper mache puppets a few weeks ago. puppets-v3. The heads dried but were still not smooth enough to paint, so time was spent applying smaller pieces of paper. They put them in the sun to dry a bit.
In the mean time they carried on with their stitching. I don't know if the puppet clothing will stand up to hard treatment, but for our purposes, their running stitches are adequate. They embellished them with ribbons etc.
Time was running short now.
They painted the heads with artist acrylic. The hair was a rushed job, as were the knitted hats.
I have sent them back to their home room in this finished state, but in need of fine tuning. Hopefully that will happen.
They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were noticeably delighted with their results as was I.
