9 and 10 year olds.
The children covered the card with one colour torn from magazines. I encouraged using pieces no larger than their thumbs.
They left them to dry while they drew a silhouette of a sports person. This was a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. They charcoaled the outline of the drawing onto the collaged card and painted the negative space.
I like the effect the white acrylic has on the textures from underneath.
The time was shortened a little due to class and sports photos being taken during the day.
