Analogous colours M10

7 year olds.
The children drew a colour wheel outline and painted in the primary colours then the secondary colours between. They chose two colours that are analogous ( adjacent ). Using only those two colours, they painted a grid, varying the tone with water and white and black.

They drew different bird cage shapes on practice paper, varying in size and shape. When they had at least three that they liked, they drew them with black crayon, overlapping if they could.

They painted each outlined shape a different shade of their chosen analogous colours. The little birds are made using card, pen and coloured pencil.
