Shell design V3

 9 and 10 year olds.

This is a variation on the schooner art I did at the end of last year.

The children made an observational sketch of a shell, which they went on to draw in line only.
The children created a grid on an A3 page, creating 6 rectangles. That was a challenge for some. The second sketch was drawn in each rectangle. I suggested that the shell drawing touch at least 2 if not 3 sides in order to make it large.

I listed 8 different mediums the children could choose 6 from. They included ink, water colour paint, pencil, coloured pencil, charcoal, coloured chalk, felts and oil pastels. They are all mediums they had been introduced to in the past.
I suggested they used the same colours on each shell if it was possible.
