8 year olds.
The children had been looking at the art of Roy Liechtenstein, in their class. I focused on the use of expressive words.
I had several images for the children to look at. We also looked at comics and searched for this style of graphic work.
The process was easy enough. The children made the coloured cutouts and placed them on the white page and traced around them with pencil. They removed the coloured paper so dye couldn't be splashed on it. The dots were put on with cotton buds and concentrated dye, around the penciled area. When the dots were dry, the children stuck their coloured paper in place.
Those children who took longer to add the dots, were helped by early finishers.
