Wind Socks R8

7 year olds.
The enquiry topic in the children's class is wind power. On our harbour foreshore we have some wind sock sculptures which the children have discussed in class. We used photographs to make observational drawings of the wind socks. On heavy paper the children put a wash of blue water colour. Once it dried, they made their wind socks using ink and sticks. The colour is concentrated dye applied using cotton buds.

  1. Those are some great looking windsocks! If your students are looking for some more inspiration you might be interested in checking out some of the unique windsocks that I have over at my store at http://www.worldofwindsocks.com :)

    1. Thanks Kurt for the suggestion on the site.
