name rotations

Name rotations.
6 year olds.
The children wrote their names a few times using solid letters, like bubble writing. They tried fitting the letters into a triangle, touching the sides. They where asked to fold their square paper from corner to corner creating 4 triangles. In one triangle they wrote their name as practiced, sitting it along the outside edge. Then by folding the page on the crease, they held it up to the window and copied their name in the next triangle. They needed a bit of guidance here, in order to copy onto the same side as the first name. They used coloured pencil to add colour.
The idea for this lesson came from http://hooverartroom.blogspot.co.nz. Many thanks.
