Five year olds.
The children had a ukelele to observe. They made pencil sketches of their ukelele. They made a black marker drawing of their ukelele sketch on a larger piece of paper. They used cotton buds and strong dyes to add colour. After which they made a black crayon drawing of the ukelele, which they stuck selected torn magazine pages pages to add colour. After each drawing of the ukelele, the children became very familiar with the shapes and the drawings began to show individuality.
