Oil pastel.
Nine year old group work.
The children chose the criteria in which to work by to create a jungle mural. They decided on three layers of jungle. The top layer had to include sky and tree tops. The middle layer had to have trees and no sky or ground. The bottom layer had to include trunks and vines and no foliage. There was also a limit on the amount of trees in order to keep the perspective right. Oil pastels are used here. Once the individual pieces were complete, a little team assembled them into an order they liked.
